Culture is created by how we act. The old adage of "do as I say, not as I do" does not work in the long run, whether you're training your kids or creating the culture in your organization.
Speaking for myself, I look for ways to inspire my team and peers to expand and grow, and if I'm not modeling what I expect of them, demonstrating integrity and empathy, it's not reasonable to think they will do differently. Behavior is so much easier to see and emulate than words.
