Too often, especially as it relates to change, I see a reluctance to communicate at all, until more is known; however, as this article underscores, the importance of communication especially during these times is of the utmost importance. In the absence of any messaging received, people tend to come to their own conclusions, right or wrong - which can create chaos and heighten anxiety....
What to do? Keep it simple. Keep it consistent, while tailoring to specific audiences. Be kind, compassionate, transparent, and remember it's ok to say you don't know.
