'Change is a Constant' in both our personal and professional lives. How often do we think about Emotional Intelligence (EQ) when trying to either influence or embrace the changes around us?
Change can trigger an emotion. EQ is an essential tool that can be utilized to help others work through the changes. Often, communication regarding change will flow from senior leaders. I have found that one-to-one conversations or team meetings have been beneficial to translate the overall theme/message into either a personal meaning to promote positive action or at a minimum, reduce the angst individuals may be feeling.
Harness the power of Emotional Intelligence to achieve professional success and personal excellence!
Have you considered the role that Emotional Intelligence plays in your change effort? Emotional Intelligence, according to Professor and Executive Coach, Dr. Laura Belsten is “the ability to be aware of our own emotions and those of others, in the moment, and to use that information to manage ourselves and manage our relationships.”
